After completing the first 4 wind measurement towers, the technical team proceeded to Phase 2, deploying the remaining 3 towers in areas with more challenging terrain, aiming to complete the wind measurement system to support renewable energy projects.
1. Complex Terrain and Exceptional Challenges
The remaining tower sites are located on high hilltops, steep slopes, and rocky areas, far from main roads, with virtually no access for vehicles.
The local climate changes rapidly, with strong winds, fog, and light rain often occurring in the mornings, creating harsh conditions for transporting heavy equipment and erecting the towers.
Specific challenges:
-
Transporting heavy steel towers and sensors over steep, rocky terrain, with many sections requiring manual carrying.
-
Balancing and securing the towers on unstable ground.
-
Ensuring the safety of the construction team under strong wind conditions.

2. Guidance and Support from Leadership
During this phase, the construction team continued to receive close attention and support from the leadership:
-
Director Phạm Hoàng Hạnh Nhân: provided overall direction and motivated the entire team.
-
Head of Technical Department Ngô Đức Việt: assessed the terrain, assigned tasks, and supervised technical work.
-
Deputy Head of Technical Department Lê Công Minh: assisted with installation and ensured equipment safety.
Director Phạm Hoàng Hạnh Nhân emphasized:
“Each successfully erected tower is not only a technical achievement but also a testament to the unity and determination of the team. Stay strong and complete the mission with excellence.”
3. The Persistent Efforts of the Technical Team
Led by technician Nguyễn Trung Hậu, the technical team carried out the installation of met mast
-
Erected mast and secured them with guy wires.
-
Installed Anemometers, wind vane, temperature and humidity and air pressure.
-
Configured the Data Logger and checked the signal transmission to the central system.
-
Adjusted tower balance to ensure data accuracy.
The entire team worked continuously from morning to evening, overcoming strong winds, steep terrain, and fluctuating temperatures.

4. Achieved Results
After several days of intensive work, the remaining 3 towers have been successfully completed. The full 7-tower wind measurement system (the initial 4 towers plus these 3) is now operating stably, with data continuously transmitted to the central system, ensuring high reliability.
Key achievements:
-
The wind measurement tower system is 100% complete.
-
Wind speed, wind direction, temperature, and humidity data are accurately recorded.
-
Absolute safety for both the construction team and the equipment has been ensured.

5. Project Significance
The completion of all 7 met masts in Laos not only provides crucial data for upcoming wind power projects but also demonstrates:
-
The unity, perseverance, and determination of the entire team.
-
Technical capability and professional construction organization.
-
The ability to respond effectively to challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions.
This serves as a vivid testament to the team’s technical preparation, professionalism, and sense of responsibility—from the Director to the technicians.
6. Conclusion
With the completion of 7 met masts, the project has achieved its objectives, providing accurate data for analyzing wind potential while enhancing the team’s capability to manage construction in difficult environments.
The team’s spirit and efforts set a benchmark for future projects, paving the way for implementing large-scale, sustainable, and efficient wind power projects in the region.
